Cognitive Books creates beautifully illustrated storybooks designed specifically for people living with dementia. Founder Matt wanted a website that would showcase the books, explain how they help, and direct visitors to purchase via the Alzheimer’s Society and various bookstores. A key challenge was building a smooth, secure workflow for customers to access the audiobook version after purchase.
To solve this, we implemented a system using a QR code linked to a dedicated download page. Customers could submit their name and email to verify their purchase, then access the audiobook either via streaming or direct download, meeting the verification requirements while keeping the process simple for users.
Visually, the website needed to feel clear and easy to navigate while reflecting the charm of the hand-drawn illustrations featured in the books. We balanced simplicity with warmth, letting the illustrations shine while ensuring the site functions as a strong marketing and informational tool.
